Permenant teeth coming in before baby teeth fall out???

My Daughter is almost 6 years old. She told me last night that she has a big tooth growing in behind her little teeth. I looked in her mouth and she has a permenant tooth growing in behind her baby tooth. The baby tooth is a bit loose. Has this happened to anyone else???? Just curious to hear stories from others. She has a regular exam with her dentist next month.

Permenant teeth coming in before baby teeth fall out???
Hi yes this has happened to my friends daughter recently. She still had her baby tooth but behind it the new tooth had started to grow.My friend was worried that the baby tooth wouldn't come out or that the new tooth would stay further back on the gum. However it was all ok , the baby tooth came out on its own in the end and the new tooth moved forward to fill the gap.
Reply:It's ok! Right for her age to wear off the milk/temporary teeth. wait to see the dentist.
Reply:This is not at all unusual. Since the baby tooth is loose it will probably fall out but if it doesn't fall out the dentist can pull it easily. I had a tooth behind a tooth as a child and had one pulled but then needed to "push" on the tooth left behind to help if go into proper place. The dentist way back then didn't feel putting a brace on one tooth was necessary. Since she will loose the baby tooth she should be fine.
Reply:It happened to my son. The baby teeth fell out on their own. They were loose, and the dentist didn't want to pull them unless he had to. She should be fine.
Reply:i would call dentist right away tell him. sometimes perm. teeth will come in crooked if a baby tooth is still in place. that's what happened to my son. he had to have braces at 12 yrs old. betty boop
Reply:Yes this does happen if they don't get the baby teeth out in time and the bigger the adult tooth gets it will make the baby tooth stuck and can also cause crooked permanent teeth.
