My puppy just lost a big tooth and its bleeding, what should i do?

one of my puppy's lower back teeth just fell out, and its bleeding quite a bit. he is about 6 months old so i am guessing its one of his baby teeth, as he has not to my knowledge lost any of his big teeth so far. what should i do to stop the bleeding (i think it has stopped already but just in case), and what should i feed him, as i normally give him quite a hard food but im worried it will make things worse for him today. thanks

My puppy just lost a big tooth and its bleeding, what should i do?
Yes, this is completely normal.. theres not much you can do about the bleeding but give him fresh cool water, it should stop after just a few minutes. Feed him his regular kibble (maybe add some water so it won't be so rough on the bare gums). If he experiences bleeding again, it's probably just another tooth, as they lose them pretty quickly.

**Added:: Just like toddlers who lose their teeth, this process is very uncomfortable and they also need something to chew on to calm that itchy/ irritating feeling. Get him lots of fun chewy toys (or he will find something to chew on in your home).
Reply:Don't do anything.

Feed him as your normally do.

It's a tooth and it is part of natures plan.

Pup is right on track.

No biggy, let him be a 6 month old puppy.
Reply:All vets are in business for obvious reasons. This is an obvious reason to go to a vet right now!
Reply:thats fine, dont panic, theres a lot more to fall out!! dont do anything feed him as normal, and it'll be fine.
Reply:its normal it happen to my german shepherd too at that age but also check all of his other tooth that they are all okay and don't give him hard things to chew on like big bones that he might love but are to big.
Reply:nothing really, just try to get him to drink water
Reply:some bleeding is perfectly fine and normal. There's no need to change his food.

Watch out and check if he's crying, or if his gums are getting red or swollen. If they are, take him to the vet. If he's as energetic as usual, and doesn't cry, there's no need to worry.
Reply:for today only, grind up its food. you should also take tissues and try to help the bleedng it its mouth to stop
Reply:Thats kind of amazing, I never knew where or when my rotties lost there teeth. Just keep doing what your doing, if you feel guilty w/ the hard food try mixing hard food some soft like bil-jack w/ a little splash of water. It will help with his coat, teeth and growth... Good luck!!
Reply:That same thing has happened to my dog, back when she was 6 months old, too. If the bleeding's stopping on its own (which it normally will), then there's nothing that you have to do about it. As far as what to feed your puppy is concerned, just continue to feed your puppy the same food that you are currently feeding him.
Reply:He's fine. Treat him just like normal, it won't make anything worse.
