I have a gap that's not very big in my front teeth, can I get a retainer to close the gap without braces.?

The gap is not big and my teeth are perfectly straight and white.

I had a gap develop and it turned out I had gum disease . If you are not sure get checked by the dentist .
Reply:I think you can. A retainer works just like braces except you're able to take it out. Just make sure to get a retainer that is a little tight, that way your teeth will be pushed back, and they'll keep your teeth in good place so that they don't grow in odd, and prevent other gaps
Reply:This is something you need to discuss with your dentist, not this forum. You might be able to use a "retainer" which is actually a Hawley Appliance [retainers are something that is used AFTER braces to hold teeth in place] or you might be better off with some simple bonding, which would be cheaper.
Reply:yer you should be able just to have a retainer but if it is really big then you would have to have train tracks.
