So, exactly how big are wisdom teeth?

I'm going to be 19 soon and my top wisdom teeth are JUST starting to show. They're poking out basically.. Question is - what are the odds that I'll have to remove them? My jaw was too small for my teeth so I needed braces, but before I got them, I had to get four molars extracted to make room. When I feel back there though, it feels like there isn't a lot of space for more teeth.. unless they're small :/ There's no pain whatsoever though, if that matters.

Wisdom teeth are usually a little smaller than your regular molars but not a whole lot. Yours is not a straight-forward wisdom tooth question because you had orthodontic extractions. When you had braces the orthodontists would have anticipated your wisdom teeth coming in later in life and may have planned for them to replace your molars or he may have intended for them to be removed. So you will need to ask your dentist what the treatment plan was/is. Good luck.
Reply:I did not have my wisdom removed, and now as an adult I have had problems with teeth being crowded and one going crooked. You should have a dentist evaluate the situation for you though if you have already had some teeth rermoved.
Reply:I was told that your wisdom teeth are extras we don't need, and some can have wisdom teeth without no problems.

Some people like me for example; can't have them because there is no extra room in there mouth. My four was surgically removed because they tried to grow side ways and it was pushing on my other teeth. This cause me great pain in my ears, teeth, and my jaw bone hurt.

Once they removed them, I couldn't eat for a month..lost twenty pounds...bad experience
