My 9 month old is cutting his top teeth but it seems awful big.....could he be cutting his adult teeth?

He is 9 nmonths old and has two bottom teeth and is cutting his top tooth and it is twice as big as his bottom ones.. i can't get him to the doctor until next week

Reply:No way, even if was not going to get baby teeth. Adult teeth would not come in this soon.
Reply:Top front teeth are usually bigger than the other little cute bottom ones. There is no chance that his adult teeth are coming through right now, he's still a baby and his jaw needs to grow and strenghthen before the adult ones come through.





I shouldn't worry too much about it, so long as your baby is okay (as much as possible) then there's no need to panick.
Reply:No, there is no way he is getting his adult teeth. The first teeth up there always look big at first. The buds from which the adult teeth develope are not even present yet, they wont be there until he is 1-2 yrs old and will simply look like a funny dense circle on an xray. Relax mommy, he is just fine.
