Guinea pig have to big of teeth?!?
Yes take your guinea pig to your vet, that will be easy to sort out :) don't worry. Guinea pigs often have things wrong with their teeth.. it is quite common.

Your vet will clip the teeth and then file them down. Your guinea pig may not be able to eat solid food for a while so you may have to feed him/her soft food through a syringe. Vegetable baby food (with no onions) is good for this. Most likely he will be able to eat though so do not worry :)

Good luck
Reply:You need to get your guinae pig to the vet. They need hard blocks to chew on to grind their teeth down or they will grow nonstop- you can find these blocks at your local pet store.
Reply:DO NOT try to cut yourself. You could injure or kill him!

See a vet ASAP! They can starve in such a short time, because they metabolize so fast!

Guinea pigs need lots of things to chew on, or their teeth overgrow, just like with rodents and bunnies as well. But if the teeth aren't overgrown, it might be another problem. I mean, their teeth do overlap naturally. It could be sick in another way.

Please, please, please see a vet right away!!!!!!

Good luck!
Reply:they need chewsticks you can find them from anywhere to fredmeyers, walmart and pet stores. they are only about $3.

but i would go for the vet before its too late, because thats bad to not eat. my hamster died when i was younger because its teeth were too long it bit it through there bottom lip it must of shocked the hamster and it died : (
Reply:You guinea pig should be fine in the meantime while you contact a vet. The person there will instruct you on how to properly clip a guinea pig's teeth. If you think he need to eat right away, try to see if he will eat a carrot or hay. If this doesn't work, get a human toenail clipper and clip his teeth a little bit with them. If you feel you cannot take this on, then don't hesitate, just call a vet and everything will be fine! Good luck! :)
Reply:YES! Take your guinea pig to the vet immediatly! The vet will file your pets teeth down or clip them with a special tool. To prevent this from happening again, put chew sticks in your pet's pen, or hard foods like bread that has sat out over night and gotten hard, or carrots. These things promote chewing which naturally ware down a rodents ever growing teeth.
Reply:you have to bring him too a vet to get his teeth filed down
Reply:you dont make sense!
Reply:i have a guinea pig first take him to the vet then when her teeth are smaller have him bite on some rosewood or any kind of wood and that will prevent it from happening
