Is it possible for big teeth to be made small?

I have these 2 huge front teeth that i am embarresed about. Never been able to smile big. Is there any way to make it small? how much would it cost.

Is it possible for big teeth to be made small?
I'm not a dentist, so I don't know if this would be the preferred procedure for your case. But I do know that when people have problematic teeth, dentists can file and drill teeth down to very small, thinnish spikes, and then place veneers on them that look exactly like real teeth. I think this is what you'd have to do in this sort of situation, because even though some teeth can simple be shaped a bit, you're saying yours are massive.

But they're probably not as large as you feel they are. If they're not really that large, then yes, they can simply be shaped. It might make a big difference in your appearance, even though the actual change is slight. Veneers cost a lot of money---thousands of dollars. I don't know the price of filing, but you'd want to make sure you went to a reputable, board-certified dentist/oral surgeon, so I'd expect it would be at least $500 or so. It costs that much just to get a night guard.

I wish you could get the attention of an actual dentist to help you out here, but your question was old and hadn't gotten that attention yet, so I figured I'd try to help.

You probably have a dentist you visit regularly. You should ask him/her about your options on your next visit. Dentists are always willing to discuss your options in cosmetic dentistry.

I also wish you'd smile wide no matter how your teeth are! I know it feels embarrassing, but try not to ever feel a way that dampens your enjoyment of life. I wish you the best in finding a smile you can use to its fullest.
Reply:dentists could file them down, not sure of the cost
Reply:Dentist can fix em cost a lot......
Reply:It is possible. Veneers or crowns are the two likeliest options. Consult a dentist. Most will do a consult for little or no fee. Also, if you live near a dental school, call them.
